Glam it up!

Sporting the glam look while waiting on the metro. Leather skirt (similar)-H&M or H&M, Shirt (similar)- J. Crew Necklace (similar)- Loft (50% off sale on everything right now!)
Love this black friday Loft find!
When trying to decide how I wanted to do my nails for this outfit I stopped in my local CVS and found this amazing polish. It is so chic, and comes in several colors. Polish- Maybelline

Carrie Underwood provides a very glamorous, high fashion look including lace, dark colors, and spectacular shoes!- People

I'm in love with these gloves, and definitely purchasing them. You can style them as glam, or even as an everyday item.- People

Although black is typically associated with the "glam" style, glam style can include other colors, including this white jacket with sparkles. It is chic, and makes a statement.- People

With this quilted Michael Kors leather jacket you can glam up a brightly colored dress- (Similar) Michael Kors

This clutch is definitely not in my collection of items, but it's definitely glam and I found it rather amusing. My coworker suggested if we purchased them we could use them as weapons as well as accessories.

This clutch, on the other hand, is much more in line with my fashion sense. I love the tassels!
I'm kind of in love with these Calvin Klein boots.

My coworker Jenna helped model this spectacular necklace for me. We both fell in love with it. Gold is definitely my preference over silver, and this cool ombre effect is phenomenal.

This bracelet has enough bling to glam up any outfit, and could add a great pop of color to a darker ensemble.

A glam style is incredibly popular right now, and I love it. Leather (or pleather) was pretty popular circa 5th grade, and I'm glad it's back! You can buy leather tops or skirts or accessories in almost any store right now for a very reasonable price. You can throw a large jeweled accessory on, like the bracelet above or even a cool pin to add an interesting piece to your outfit. Hopefully some of the examples above are helpful, and give me a shoutout as to what your favorite glam pieces are, or tag me in a photo on Instagram! I'm a pretty avid Instagrammer so I would love to see your photos :).

Luke's Lobster- Friday Night Out

Happy to be out exploring new restaurants. Top- Talbots, Skirt- Brooks Brothers

Love the koozies!

Crab Roll- If you ever get the chance, do it!

I spy a couple of soda lovers in the window.

Because Friday was a most dreary day of terrible weather and extended wait times for transportation, a fun dinner gig was most definitely in order. I've never been to Luke's Lobster, and while we were going to opt for Italian, we had heard the reputation of this restaurant and when passing it on the way to our other restaurant choice we couldn't pass it up. (Good thing, too!) Luke's is a neat place, nautical themed, small and very informal. The cashiers are friendly, and incredibly helpful at giving advice when you are selecting one of their many sodas. Combine all that with tasty, reasonably priced food and you have yourself a great night out!

6 Ideas for Sparkling Through the Golden Season

This skirt from Madewell was my favorite find of my adventure for glitz. I paired it with a *very* warm sweater I purchased from Loft on Black Friday, and even this quick match went perfectly. I am nearly positive this will be part of my New Years Eve ensemble.

If you are seeking a little less bling you can also try this toned down sweater that boasts a bit of sparkles on the shoulders. This is perfect for class or work, and you could definitely use it as an all day outfit. Dress it up by throwing on a cute solid skirt and pair it with a pair of heels in almost any color, the black makes it very versatile.- Loft (Having a 50% sale on this sweater right now!)

Gold is obviously the color of choice this season, as demonstrated by the uniquely textured dress on the cover of the December issue of "InStyle" and I found a few ways you can accessorize with the color as well. In the top right photo is a bottle of Essie polish in "Penny Talk" (which is actually more of a gold than a copper). In the bottom right corner you will find my trusty card holder. I tend to lose everything and was advised by many to get one of these. It is so nifty, stylish, and I haven't misplaced my metro card since! My mother actually picked this up for me at a yard sale years ago, but there are several similar finds online, for example this Kate Spade

If you are looking for something appropriate for a more formal setting, but still want the shine, this shift skirt from Loft fits the bill.

Finally, if you love gold tooling, and you're looking for something fun and chic for a night out, this Teen Vogue skirt from Macy's is a great pick.

The are literally TONS of ways you can incorporate gold into your wardrobe right now, from a classic watch to a crazy pair of pants (I'll feature said crazy pants in the future). Metallics in general are hot for this holiday season and don't feel like you can't throw some gold in your every day attire. There are plenty of ways to keep it from being too flashy (see above) and when you do want that pizzaz, it's easier than ever to find. Have fun shopping!

No Stress, No Stress, No Stress

STRESS. ANXIETY. WORRY. Those thoughts that keep you awake in your bed at night and all you can focus on is "Why on earth did I say that?" or "What is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next year...?" (You get the picture.) I deal with this garbage all of the time. I'm kind of a stress magnet, if we are being honest. This last week has actually been incredibly stressful for me and I wanted to share a pretty fantastic article a few of my friends posted on Facebook on how to deal with stress. Page two is where it gets really good, and my favorite tip author Rachael Moeller Gorman mentions is about taking on the persona of one of your friends, and giving yourself your own advice. Any time you advise a friend, you are coming at it from a completely different perspective than the person sitting in your own shoes. Gorman's advice truly sets the stage to allow you to clear your head and think about what Nicole or Matt (some of my best friends) might say in this situation. I don't pretend to be a stress expert, but I love to share useful things I find, and am constantly working to better my lifestyle. I think this article: "You're Overthinking It! Tips to Stress Less" (http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/health/stress-relief/stress-busters/stop-overthinking/?page=1) by Rachael Moeller Gorman really fits the bill, and you should definitely check it out!
